Steven Chown
Steven Chown is currently Programme Development Manager for Play England.
Steven has worked in play since 1983 first as a volunteer then as a paid playworker on adventure playgrounds in Exeter, Cambridge and York.
Wherever he has lived he has either worked on or set up a new playground.
Previous work projects include: updating the Neighbourhood Play Toolkit as a website www.playfulcommunities.org.uk , the DfE funded Engaging Communities in Play programme and the FTC ‘Get Involved in Play’ programme funded through the Social Action Fund. He currently manages the Department of Health funded street play programme.
