These two key tasks of a playworker enable the professional practitioner to become better at what they do. The sessions in this track aim to show how best to get involved in observing and how to make effective use of reflection
Chris Taylor:

Identifying Play, Playing and Playwork - A Case Study: Live reports on community play and development on East London Estates.

The workshop provides an evaluator’s view of socially meaningful playwork, under the gaze of the City banks and the constraints of funding targets, outcomes, milestones etc. This will be illustrated and elaborated by Keep Playing play and development staff.

The first and ‘stand-alone’ part of the workshop will appeal to playworkers interested in or presently facilitating play opportunities in diverse urban settings.

The second part of the workshop will draw on the first, taking a more academic and critical approach to the case study as a methodology of ‘guerrilla playwork’.
