Lucy Benson is the Finding Nature through Play Worker for Islington Play Association (IPA). She discovered Charlie Chaplin Adventure Playground in 1991 and has been involved in face to face playwork ever since. Managing the nature project for IPA since 2010 has allowed her to support Islington’s children in their creation of play spaces; planting gardens, making dens, digging holes, climbing trees, picking berries, building bonfires and watching worms. The worms in the borough have been extraordinarily helpful partners in the project and have sacrificed a lot to work with the children of Islington. IPA takes this opportunity to thank them.
