I have had a livelong passion for the natural world and children. This has resulted in me working extensively in the childcare, education and playwork sector in a variety of nurseries, playschemes, residential homes and special schools since 1998.

Currently I work as a Forest School practitioner at Stoke Gabriel Pre-school, Nursery Nurse at Southernwood Nursery and Playworker at Fort Apache Adventure Playground for Play Torbay. I am also an active member of the Forest School SW group, as committee member and regional rep for Devon.

In 2013, whilst delivering a pilot John Muir Award project for Play England’s Exploring Nature Play SW project, I found Sylvan Adventures (www.sylvanadventures.org), which uses a mixture of playwork, Forest School and first hand experiences to connect people to nature.
