Dr Sara Bragg Dr Sara Bragg is a Senior Research Fellow in the Education Research
Centre at the University of Brighton, and is an internationally recognised
expert in the areas of childhood and youth, sexuality and media education, and
youth voice. She has a wide range of research experience related to young
people, sexualities and media, and also in the area of participatory approaches
in schools and young people as researchers; in relation to both she has used
and written about ‘creative’ research methods with a wide range of children and
young people. She is co-author of Young
People, Sex and the Media (with David Buckingham, 2004); co-editor of Children
and Young People’s Cultural Worlds (with Mary Jane Kehily, 2013) and of Rethinking
Youth Cultures in the Age of Global Media (with Buckingham and Kehily,
forthcoming 2014) and has published in journals including Feminist Media
Studies, Gender and Education, Children & Society, and edited collections
including Researching Creative Learning: Methods and Issues (2011) and The
Routledge Companion to Media and Gender (2013).
