How, if you are going to sessions almost non-stop do you manage to get some food?
Well it’s easy! Firstly, drinks are available all day long, tea and coffee [including fine Coffee from Union Hand Roasted Coffee] There will be small amounts of organic and soya milk available for those who ask for them and urns full of iced water! There is more than one place to get them from so you shouldn’t have to queue! There are tables and chairs set up around the Floral Hall if you want to chat and so long as you are careful you can sit on the sofas in the bookseller [although you may get moved on if you don’t buy anything!].
Lunch will be served over a 2 hour period from12:00 – 14:00. We do this to avoid the carnage or the stampede that can occur when food is put out. It is only meant to be a light lunch so bear that in mind when you go to collect your food. Sessions do continue right the way though the lunch time period so the food serving is staggered to ensure food is left for the later eaters.
Our plan is that the food presented will cater to all obvious dietary requirements [not including Kosher or Halal]. The food will be clearly labelled and there will be sufficient variety to meet the needs of vegetarians, vegans, carnivores and those who require a gluten free diet. We aim for the lunches to be nut free but in a commercial kitchen we cannot guarantee that there will be no contamination. If you are not requiring special food [like the gluten free] please ensure that you do not take it but leave it for those who do need it.
If you have a specific dietary requirement that we have not met than please let Michael know in our reception area and he will do his best to satisfy your need. Additionally if there are any other questions or concerns about the food please let Michael or one of the Conference team know so that they can deal with it for you.
