Meynell

Meynell is one of the directors of the Meynell Games Group of social enterprises that exist “to create better opportunities for children’s play”.

Meynell has been working with children and young people since 1970 and has been fortunate enough to have experienced working in most kinds of settings and with groups of children in a host of countries across three continents.

Meynell is still a current playworker undertaking occasional sessions at breakfast, after school and holiday clubs as well as turning up to support play in parks and play spaces around the country.

Meynell is committed to improving the quality of all that we do in the sector and won’t ever stop talking! Whether that is as a key speaker at a Conference or event or in workshops or over a coffee!

Some people find him a little ‘brusque’ or ‘argumentative’ but you can be assured that whatever his manner or approach his passion about children’s play will shine through.

Meynell’s other passion is whisky and he can often be found with a magnificent example from his extensive cellar!
